ViIlains 17 Bombers 9: After the Villains led only 7-5 after 4 innings, a couple of two-run doubles by Ron Lipkovich (one in the 5th and one in the 6th)) propelled the Villains to a 17-7 lead going into the bottom of the 6th. The Villains would hold on, surrendering only 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th to secure the victory (game timed out at 6 innings). John West pitched very well and was supported by 3 inning-ending double-plays. Willie Barba and Dom Giovanetti staked the Villains to an early lead with back-to-back inside-the-park home runs in the second inning.
